The Earl Cup
The Earl Cup is a beautiful silver trophy, which in 1942 was presented to the Province by the late V.W. Bro. T. E. Earl. V.W. Bro. Earl was a brother who excelled in all aspects of the Order. However, his main interests were with the Masonic Benevolent Institutions and he eventually became Provincial Grand Steward of Charities. His intention was that this trophy would help to stimulate greater interest and support in charitable giving. The cup has since been presented each year to whichever Lodge in the Province has contributed the largest amount per capita to the Masonic Benevolent Institutions. |

The Eden Trophy
This handsome Trophy was presented in the year 2001 by W. Bro. Charles Eden. It is now presented annually to the Lodge which succeeds in having the best attendance of its three Principal Officers i.e. Worshipful Master, Senior Warden, and Junior Warden, at the quarterly communications of the Provincial Grand Lodge. It has certainly improved attendances and is a very useful means of creating interest and some enjoyable competition amongst the Lodges. |

The John R. Brennan Memorial Fund
This fund was established in 1947 in order to perpetuate the memory of the late R.W. Bro. John R. Brennan, a former Provincial Deputy Grand Master. Sadly on the 28 February 1942, R.W. Bro. Brennan, together with his wife, tragically perished in a fire that had occurred at their home in Wexford. Its purpose is to provide funds to be able to grant immediate monetary assistance to necessitous brethren of the Province, or their widows. It is particularly useful in cases of sudden or emergency financial hardships.
Contributions to the fund come entirely from within the Province. It is very dear to the hearts of the members of Wicklow & Wexford and has been of immense benefit to brethren who have suddenly found themselves in difficult financial circumstances. A small committee manages the fund and one of its advantages is that following an appeal financial assistance can be promptly granted, following a decision. |
